About the role

Metal 21 is seeking a skilled Materials Handler to join our team in Salisbury, QLD. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our warehousing and distribution facility, ensuring the effective movement, storage, and handling of various materials and goods.

What you'll be doing

Receiving, unpacking, and inspecting incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality

Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move and store inventory

Picking, packing, and loading outgoing orders for distribution

Maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting stock management processes

Assisting with the organisation and upkeep of the warehouse environment

Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a materials handling or warehousing role, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment

Forklift licence and experience operating material handling equipment

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently

Good communication and problem-solving skills

A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks

The ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions, as well as the initiative to work independently
