Mechanical FitterWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter. This hands-on role involves both workshop and on-site work, focusing on the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of mechanical and electromechanical equipment. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the quality of jobs on-site and ensure QA of all jobs leaving the workshop.
• Undertake site work and overtime as required.
• Disassemble equipment, accurately identifying parts, configurations, and conditions.
• Clean components using methods such as parts washers, pressure cleaners, and glass bead blasting.
• Repair mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, including (but not limited to):
  bearings, brushes, brush holders, motor leads, gears, seals, impellers, switches, brakes, clutches, rotors, fans, and end shields.
• Assist tradesmen and apprentices with both skilled and general duties as directed.
• Read and interpret job cards and associated documentation to determine job status, authorisations, limitations, and serviceability expectations.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Test reassembled equipment to ensure correct operation and output.
• Operate specialised repair and testing equipment.
• Perform dynamic balancing of mechanical assemblies.
• Conduct laser shaft alignment of motors and couplings.
• Accurately measure and identify replacement parts.

TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Must be Trade Qualified Cert III - Mechanical Fitter
• Proficiency in using diagnostic and repair tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A valid driver’s license.
