About the role

Silk Design & Construct Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter for an immediate contract role based in Noosa Heads, Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable construction company and contribute to high-quality residential and commercial projects.

What you'll be doing

• Undertake all aspects of carpentry work, including framing, formwork, roof installation, and finish carpentry
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise execution of work
• Collaborate with the project team to problem-solve and find efficient solutions to construction challenges
• Maintain a safe and tidy worksite, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
• Assist with the supervision and mentoring of junior team members

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 5 years' practical experience in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of building materials, methods, and construction techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional worksite
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and schedules
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant carpentry qualifications or trade certification
