· Excellent Base salary plus super at 11.5%
· The gross salary on offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills, knowledge and experience.
· Leave loading at 17.5%
· Salary packaging options (up to $15,899 tax free)
· Based in New Farm, Brisbane
Role overview:
As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide focused psychological strategies to meet the needs of people accessing the service within a residential and outreach treatment setting
• Provide comprehensive assessment, brief and ongoing interventions, risk management and care planning
• Work cooperatively and effectively through active participation within the multidisciplinary team and with consumers, families/carers and extended agencies.
• Participate in the ongoing development, planning, documentation and delivery of substance use treatment services to achieve client and program outcomes
• Provide trauma informed clinical counselling, including approaches in accordance with best practice guidelines.
• Lead group education, planning and coordination
• Develop and record psychosocial treatment goals which complement the client’s individual care plan
• Liaise with team members, community agencies and appropriate professionals involved in ongoing patient care
• Provide verbal and written reports as part of a clinical team including writing reports to other service providers in order to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
• The candidate must have general AHPRA registration as a psychologist/clinical psychologist.
• Well developed judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding of assessment, care planning and complex case management
• Ideally demonstrated experience in providing alcohol and other drugs (AOD) counselling and support
• Experience with vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds including First Nations people experiencing concerns with AOD use, homelessness or mental health concerns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of self-awareness and the ability to adjust your communication style to suit your audience
