This role allows for flexible working arrangements and as part of the package, Council will also provide relocation assistance to help support a move to the region.

About the Opportunity
This is a dynamic leadership role for someone passionate about equity, inclusion, and positive social change. As Community Wellbeing Coordinator, you'll lead high-impact projects, shape key strategic plans, and foster strong partnerships with community groups and advisory bodies. With a focus on diversity, collaboration, and innovation, you'll play a pivotal role in building a healthier, more connected, and empowered Mildura community.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
A degree in Health, Social Work, Social Science, or a related field.
A proven ability to lead community-focused teams, drive service improvement, and deliver on key wellbeing initiatives.
A deep understanding of local social trends and the capacity to translate this into effective, inclusive strategies and programs.
Skills in managing complex projects and budgets, with a focus on outcomes and accountability.
The ability to build strong relationships across community, government, and internal stakeholders to support shared goals.
Experience developing and implementing strategic plans and policies that align with legislative requirements and organisational objectives.
A passion for building inclusive communities through practical action and advocacy.
An understanding of the local government environment, including funding, compliance, and service delivery frameworks.
A current Police Check or willing to obtain.
Salary and conditions
The position is classified within Band 8 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $122,104 to $136,830 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
