About the role
Join our team at RW Equipment and Consulting Australasia Pty Ltd as a full-time Mechanical Fitter / Electrician - Automotive / Machinery. Based in Port Hedland, WA 6721, this role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our diverse equipment and machinery.

What you'll be doing

Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions

Perform regular inspections, testing, and servicing to prevent breakdowns and maximise equipment uptime

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety standards and company policies

Collaborate with the wider team to share knowledge, provide training, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting and/or Electrical work

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter and/or Electrician, ideally in an industrial or mining environment

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues

Commitment to safety and a track record of working safely in a high-risk environment

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues

Ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload

Welding Knowledge:

Solid understanding of welding processes.

Flashbutt Welding experience is highly desirable.

Other Essentials

A valid C-class driver’s license. (HR desirable)

Successful completion of a pre-employment medical.

First Aid, LVR/CPR, 4WD (desirable)

White Card (Essential)
