About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced SAP Basis Engineer – ERP Monitoring to support a high-profile government client.

Key responsibilities include:

• Upgrading and implementing SAP systems with minimal business disruption.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting within the SAP Basis environment.
• Monitoring system performance and conducting regular health checks.
• Managing SAP security settings and user administration.
• Developing and testing backup and recovery procedures.
• Leading smaller SAP Basis projects and mentoring junior team members.
• Maintaining documentation and conducting knowledge transfer.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions.

The Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Be an Australian Citizen with an active AGSVA Baseline Clearance (NV1 preferred or eligibility to obtain).
• Have a strong background in SAP Basis administration, including system monitoring, performance tuning, security, and recovery planning.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a high-stakes environment.
• Be a confident communicator, capable of engaging with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Exhibit leadership qualities, with experience mentoring junior staff and leading smaller projects.
• Be diligent, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
