The Australian Holistic Management Co-op (AHMC) offers a national Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) program that delivers high-quality, trusted ecological monitoring for landholders wanting to ensure their management is regenerating land . We are seeking EOV Monitor/s to join our team that delivers AHMC’s seasonal ecological monitoring program (September to May annually). Monitors travel to farms across Australia to collect data on landscape function. This data must meet the rigorous standards set by the Savory Institute and AHMC protocols. The role is a travel-based, casual position requiring accuracy, ecological literacy, tech skills and a collaborative, professional manner. Training in the protocol will be provided and applicants need to be available between the 4th-14th August 2025.
EOV Monitor: Role & Responsibilities
Field Monitoring
Conduct ecological monitoring on farms, according to Savory Institute protocols and AHMC procedures.
Follow the Monitoring workflow efficiently and effectively.
Travel regularly to sites across regional Australia, with flexibility for seasonal work and overnight stays
Ensure biosecurity, workplace health and safety, and respect for local species and ecological function
Maintain EOV monitoring kits and digital devices in optimal working condition
Data Management & Quality Assurance
Record accurate, complete ecological data into our APP
Liaise with Verifiers to ensure data quality and follow-up on land base history or revisits
Complete assigned workflows within required timeframes to ensure timely landholder feedback
Engage with AHMC systems, CRM, digital portal and project management tool (ASANA)
Landholder communications
Liaise professionally and independently with landholders to schedule monitoring visits
Build rapport and provide clear information about the EOV process and AHMC offerings to landholders.
Represent AHMC with integrity and professionalism in all external interactions
Professional Development
Attend seasonal professional development workshops.
Continually improve monitoring skills, including landscape literacy and species identification
Supported by the Team Development officer- with the evolving EOV protocol and its application in the Australian context
Skills and Experience Required
Accreditation as a Long Term (LTM) Monitor (to be provided by AHMC Education Officer upon appointment)
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with landholders
Strong background in ecology, botany, and/or regenerating land management with demonstrated plant identification skills.
Holistic Management training is beneficial, but not essential
Desired Personal Attributes
Availability and willingness to travel for seasonal field work, including overnight stays
Highly computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office/ ASANA and the ability to learn AHMC systems
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated organisational skills, initiative, time management and attention to detail
Collaborative mindset and problem-solving abilities
Alignment with AHMC’s Holistic Context (provide prior to interview)
Reporting
Reports directly to the EOV Service Co-ordinator
Collaborates with Verifiers to optimise data quality and consistency
Performance Outcomes
Accurate, complete data submitted within set deadlines
Positive liaison with landholders.
Monitoring kits and digital tools maintained in optimal condition
Active contribution to ongoing improvements to deliver the EOV protocol in our Australian context.

Remuneration:
Casual Position – September to May (Annually)
Rate range: $38-$50/hr + Super
Expected work-load: Between 16-32 hours/week monitoring periods
Reimbursement/ allowance for Meals, Accommodation, Mileage
Professional Development allowances
- EOV Monitor Training- Trainee rate $30/hr & Travel costs reimbursed.
Requirements: Candidate must;
- be available in August for professional development annually,
- hold an open license without conditions
- use their own car - with registration details and comprehensive insurance.
Position Review
This is a casual position, with performance reviewed periodically throughout the September– May monitoring season. Reviews focus on data quality, engagement with workflows, and whether any further support or training is required. A formal review will take place at the end of the monitoring season to assess alignment with AHMC’s needs for the following season.
