About the business and the role

Mudgee Wine Explorer Tours run small-group Mudgee Wine Tours 7 days per week, but this role is primarily Saturdays.

As an Explorer, you need to love hanging out with people and showing them the best of the Mudgee Wineries.

Must be available to work every Saturday. There may also be an option for you to work other days occasionally if you wish.

Tours run from 10.00am till 4.30pm daily.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Job number 1: Have fun!

Using one of our company-branded vehicles, you'll pick guests up from their accommodation in Mudgee and take them around our wineries for a wine-tasting experience.

Your role is to make sure they have a great day, to keep them chatting, and to take photos of them during their tour (with their permission.)

For mixed groups, you'll need to encourage them to mingle with each other too.

You'll need to maintain good relationships with all the cellar door staff.

You'll mostly be working unsupervised, but will receive full training at the start.

You will be required to photograph customers and market the tours on social media.

Full training will be provided.

Skills and experience

Your social skills will get you this job. You need to be comfortable mixing with people socially and encouraging them to mingle.

You'll need an unrestricted driver license (not L's or P's)

Hospitality experience will be highly regarded, especially if you've worked in a winery.

You'll need good time management skills, to keep the tour moving at an appropriate pace.

You'll need to be a natural entertainer who loves people. Keeping your customers engaged and maintaining relationships with cellar door staff is the most important aspect of the job.

Experience with photography or social media marketing will be highly regarded.
