St John of God Bunbury Hospital is a 145-bed not-for-profit private hospital, providing health care to the Bunbury community and those that live in the south west of Western Australia.
Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital
You will provide a high level of skill and knowledge providing care to some of our most vulnerable, and critically ill patients in a high-pressure environment. You will collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans, ensuring that patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met. Your role will also involve educating and supporting patients' families, helping them navigate through difficult decisions and providing them with the necessary resources for coping with their loved one's illness.
Our Palliative Care Ward - Granada is a busy 14 bed unit providing specialised palliative care to our patients. The ward is staffed by a dedicated team of nurses, doctors, and support staff who are trained in managing pain and providing emotional support to patients and their families. Additionally, the ward offers a comfortable and peaceful environment, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care during their admission
The Position
- Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
- Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
- Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
- Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff.
- Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
You will have registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

We can offer you
- Salary: $76,991 to $101,314 (pro rata for part time) plus 11.5% superannuation
- A permanent part time position working 40 hours per fortnight
