St John of God Bunbury Hospital is a 145-bed not-for-profit private hospital, providing health care to the Bunbury community and those that live in the south west of Western Australia.

Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital

We are currently seeking Enrolled and Registered Nurses to join our 30-bed Medical Ward as well as other areas across the hospital. St John of God Bunbury is only two hours' drive from the Perth CBD located in the beautiful south west of Western Australia. With 145 beds, the hospital is considered one of the finest private hospitals in regional WA surrounded by beautiful lakeside gardens.

The facility offers services in cardiac care, interventional cardiology, cancer treatment, renal dialysis, elective surgery, general medicine and palliative care.

Our hospital is large enough to provide a range of specialities and small enough to foster strong connections and team bonding among caregivers, ensuring compassionate, patient centred care.

We have a variety of shifts available to suit your lifestyle

• Monday to Sunday morning and afternoon shift is 7 hours
• Monday to Sunday night shift is 10 hours

As a Registered Nurse you will:

• Assess plans, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
• Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
• Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate.
• Supports and supervises staff and students as required and within the scope of nursing practice.
• Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital.
• Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.

As an Enrolled Nurse you will:

• Works in consultation and co-operation with other care team members to provide care according to the physical and emotional needs of the patient and their families.
• Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the day-to-day mental health and basic physical care requirements of patients.
• Participate in patient assessments, including mental health, risk assessment and management, history taking and developing comprehensive nursing care plans. Ensuring risks are documented and appropriate interventions, referrals are facilitated.
• Administer medication within scope of the Enrolled Nurse classification and in accordance with statutory and organisational guidelines under the direct or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Advise and educate patients regarding treatment and recovery in relevant specialty.

We are seeking compassionate and committed Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join our team. All applicants must hold current AHPRA registration relevant to their role.

Registered Nurses will demonstrate advanced clinical skills, sound knowledge of legislation and standards, and the ability to independently assess, plan, and manage complex care. RNs should have strong problem-solving skills, clinical judgement, and a commitment to leadership, quality improvement, and ongoing professional development.

Enrolled Nurses will provide safe, effective care within their scope of practice under RN supervision. ENs should have relevant clinical experience, a solid understanding of hygiene, infection control, and manual handling, and a proactive approach to learning and teamwork.

We can offer you

• Salary Enrolled Nurse: $70,181 to $74,860 per annum, pro rata, plus 12% superannuation
• Salary Registered Nurse: $76,991 to $101,314 per annum, pro rata, plus 12% superannuation
• Permanent full time and part time positions and fixed term full time positions up to 6 months
