About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Assistant - Surgical to join a multi disciplinary specialist dental practice in Grange, Queensland. In this full-time position ( 4 Days PW) , you will play a vital role in initially supporting the periodontist, then rotating with other specialists in the practice. Your expertise and dedication will be integral to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining our high standards of clinical excellence.

What you'll be doing

Assisting periodontist and other specialists during complex surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile and organised environment

Providing chairside assistance for implants, grafting, oral surgery and prosthodontic, anticipating needs and ensuring efficient workflows

Preparing and sterilising equipment and instruments for procedures

Maintaining detailed patient records and updating treatment plans

Ensuring the dental operatory is clean, stocked, and ready for patients

Coordinating with the front office team to manage patient scheduling and flow

Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures

What we're looking for

A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant, with a strong background in surgical assisting- implants , grafting, periodontics and oral surgery

Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to set up, operate, and maintain dental equipment

Proficient in sterilisation procedures and infection control protocols

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care

Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail

A team-oriented approach and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent

Hours - 30-35 Hour Week ( 4 days Per Week)

Mon- Friday Only (Fridays Finish at 2pm) 830am-530PM - Choose your day off.

First 6 months employed at casual rate plus leave loading, then move to FT
