About the role
- Rankin Court Treatment Centre (RCTC) provides outpatient opioid pharmacotherapy treatment, 7 days per week, and is a part of the Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS) at St Vincent's.
- The ADS consists of 11 clinical units including but not limited to: Alcohol and Drug Information Service (ADIS - state-wide telephone service), Stimulant Services, Outpatients, Alcohol and Drug Hospital Liaison, Psychiatric and Non-prescription Drug and Alcohol Unit (PANDA) Unit, Gorman Unit (inpatient detox).
- Works across Outpatient Drug and Alcohol services (RCTC and ADSOP) as well as collaborating with the wider ADS to support nursing staff with educational needs and career progression pathways.
- Enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing and other clinical staff as required, whilst ensuring all staff, both transient and permanent, have equitable access to educational support and resources to enhance their clinical competence.
- Ensuring evidence-based practice principles have been utilised, in the development of policies and procedures, within the clinical environment and broader organisation.
About you
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
- Clinical or educational post-graduate qualifications and at least 12 months experience working in the relevant clinical area, or 4 years post-registration experience including 3 years' experience in the relevant specialist field.
- Certificate IV in workplace training and education or willingness to undertake within the first 12 months of employment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including e-learning.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
