Civil Fire specialises in providing Annual Fire Safety Statements to residential strata buildings in Sydney. Our portfolio consists of over 1000 buildings scattered all over the greater Sydney metropolitan area.
The offer
Full-time (Mon-Fri, 645am – 315pm).
Excellent hourly rate + overtime.
Company car or weekly car allowance.
RDO, annual leave, sick leave.

The Role
You will join Civil Fire’s ITMS (Inspect, Test, Maintain, Service) department, consisting of around 10 other staff. Depending on the size of the job, you may work alone, or as part of a team.
We have sites all over the Sydney Metropolitan area – you will work at a different site each day, and may work at several sites in a day.
You will primarily be required to carry out inspection and maintenance of fire protection equipment, including (but not limited to) smoke alarms, emergency exit lighting, fire detection, fire doors, fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, fire hydrants, passive fire measures, sprinkler systems and fire pumpsets.
You do not need to have a trade qualification to fulfil this role, but experience in the fire protection industry is preferred.
You will bring with you some level of compliance knowledge in accordance with the Building Code of Australia & Australian Standards that will be developed through further training at Civil Fire.
The successful applicant will be punctual & well presented, and will have good communication skills.
They will need to be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Position Summary:
Inspect buildings in accordance with Australian Standards & the BCA identifying defects and recommendation items.
Inspect fire equipment in residential and commercial units
Complete minor fire equipment repairs (change light tube, change smoke alarm battery etc)
Follow job sheets and record succinct results
Make recommendations for compliance
Work with other staff to distribute tasks at larger jobs
Carry out tasks in a professional manner, maintaining a high level of customer service.

Current Driver's Licence
NSW White Card (or equivalent
