Our Architecture and Facilities team are looking for two fast-paced and experienced Supervisor Facilities to join the team at Canning!
These roles play a key part in helping keep the City’s property and assets safely maintained and welcoming for the thousands of residents who rely on them every day. From community centres to leisure & sporting facilities, you’ll supervise contractors and maintenance personnel, coordinate repairs, and make sure everything runs like clockwork.

A snapshot of your new role:
You will supervise a range of works at a number of City properties and across a number of diverse City assets
Lead a team of maintenance employees, providing guidance and advice in daily operations
Proactively identify and rectify maintenance issues and provide timely resolutions
Drive excellent safety and performance of both the facilities team and external contractors
You’ll work closely with the Service Lead Facilities and Architecture on range of areas including but not limited to advising on plant requirements, undertaking inspections and preparing council reports
How you will thrive in this role:
You will have substantial experience in building management and facility maintenance
You have great knowledge and awareness of building construction methods, techniques, services, regulatory compliance, relevant laws and standards
You have a people and safety-first approach in every decision you make
You have a keen eye for detail, particularly in identifying faults and required repairs
You’re a great communicator and are well versed in liaising with a team, external contractors and other stakeholders
