Airnorth is recruiting for Perth based Mechanical (B1.1) and Avionics (B2) Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our WA Engineering Team in troubleshooting, conducting routine and non-routine maintenance, and performing repairs on various aircraft systems and components in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers hold responsibility for performing and certifying for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft as directed, and Licenced AMEs are also required to supervise and certify for aircraft work carried out by unlicensed AMEs and apprentices who are assigned to work under their supervision.
Perth Airnorth Engineers are currently employed under an 11-hour shift over a 7 day on, 7 day off roster. Aircraft Maintenance work is predominantly completed on the ramp or in other outdoor environments. Travel to other locations may be required, at short notice for AOG situations.
Essential and Desirable Requirements
We are looking for Engineers who ideally hold a CASA licence (type not necessarily required), have a strong understanding of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations applicable to Certificate of Approvals, and demonstrated time management skills to work under pressure. High levels of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with great problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and the ability to work and contribute proactively within a small team environment.
Airnorth Engineers are required to use various systems across the CASA and company networks and must have the ability to obtain and hold an ASIC as well as an Airside Drivers Licence. Human Factors training and a current passport are also essential.
Solid experience in aircraft maintenance is desirable, as is experience on Embraer aircraft and/or working at Perth Airport.
