Airnorth is seeking motivated local applicants for our first ever intake of Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineers - Mechanical (B1.1) or Avionics (B2) to join our WA Engineering team based at the Perth Airport.

Activities undertaken during your apprenticeship:
Complete training and study of aircraft maintenance and regulatory requirements to progress to an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
Performing aircraft maintenance including the removal and installation of aircraft components
Supporting the issue, supply and management of tooling and equipment
Assisting with creating and updating work orders
Housekeeping of the hangar facility
Maintaining a detailed apprenticeship journal
We are looking for someone who has:
Completed Aviation studies (advantageous but not essential)
Demonstrated commitment to safety and a compliant work environment
A self-starter with a strong work ethic
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good level of eye and hand coordination skills
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Pre-Employment assessment:
As part of the selection process applicants will be required to undertake the following checks:
Aptitude Testing (Literacy & Numeracy)
Drug & Alcohol Testing
National Police/Criminal History Check
Ability to hold and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Have full working rights in Australia
Hold a current driver’s licence
Must have completed Year 10
