Senior Account Manager – Insurance Broker

This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role within a respected brokerage, manage a talented team, and take ownership of an established commercial portfolio while growing their presence in the Albury-Wodonga region.
About the Role
As a Senior Account Manager, you’ll wear two hats—leading and mentoring a small local team, while also acting as a senior broker for a diverse portfolio of commercial and rural clients. You’ll be supported by the head office and broader network but will have the autonomy to shape your branch’s success and culture.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Managing and growing a portfolio of SME and rural clients across a variety of industries
- Leading the Albury team day-to-day, including coaching, support, and development
- Building strong relationships with local businesses, insurers, and community stakeholders
- Driving business development and identifying new opportunities in the region
- Ensuring compliance, professionalism, and high service standards across all activities
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a strong commercial broker who’s ready to step into leadership—or an existing Branch Manager looking for a fresh challenge. You understand the regional business landscape and love delivering tailored, practical insurance solutions.
You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial/general insurance broking
- Tier 1 Broking qualification (essential)
- Strong client relationship skills and commercial acumen
- Leadership or mentoring experience (formal or informal)
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with a hands-on approach
- Knowledge of rural and regional risks (a plus)
