The Company

Career Avenues is a small consultancy of 14 professionals which services over 6,000 high school students and young adults each year. We provide a high quality career profiling and development program delivered through our Microsoft Azure web application and SQL database supported by career meetings with students and clients using MS Teams.

This is a part-time role of .6 time, working remotely. You willl be responsible for the planning, organisation and delivery of our programs to schools and private clients. You will also provide IT services and backup to counsellors and schools to ensure smooth service delivery.

Responsibilities

Be responsible to the managing director for the effective and efficient delivery of our programs

Plan and coordinate our schools program schedule for each year in conjunction with school partners and CA counsellors

Set-up, coordinate and manage our schools and individual career development programs to ensure smooth program delivery

Run SQL queries on the database as requested

Update our career database information and update web application links and features

Act as the key contact for schools and our counselling team throughout the program

Be available to respond quickly to IT help requests and situations for our database, web app, MS Teams and other IT issues

Prepare, upload and manage new data

Provide data and statistical analysis as requested.

What you will bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Management or a related field of study

Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Ability to prioritise, schedule and manage your own work

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Excellent organisational and management skills

At least 4 years' experience with Azure SQL Databases and web applications

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Teams, Word and Excel

Ability to work remotely in a suitable own home office
