About the Program
Our Housing Services assist people on their journey from homelessness to long-term, stable accommodation. It offers case management, as well as mentoring, training and support for developing life and tenancy skills.
About the Opportunity
As Case Worker you will make a lasting impact by supporting individuals experiencing homelessness or housing crisis to achieve stable, sustainable tenancies through high-quality case management that addresses the root causes of homelessness, and by delivering opportunistic tenancy skills training that empowers clients with the knowledge of their rights and responsibilities, equips them with practical strategies to meet tenancy obligations, and helps them build the skills needed to maintain a safe, healthy, and independent living environment.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Prior experience in casework and working within a case management framework with individuals and families
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders such as Dept. Housing and Community Development, Territory Families, family and domestic violence and mental health services
- Demonstrated experience managing confidential and sensitive information with accompanying high level of discretion and sound judgement
- Prior experience or, at a minimum, demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organisations.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must provide 100 points of identification to confirm Australian citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia; possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a current National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a valid NT driver’s licence.
Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
