Wama is searching for a friendly hard-working Barista/Café All Rounder who is passionate about excellent coffee and fantastic customer service in equal measure.

The Café - set within the newly opened National Centre for Environmental Art - will be a key part of Wama’s visitor experience.

This is a permanent part-time (26 hour/week), Friday-Monday role based in Halls Gap, Victoria.

Key Accountabilities:

● Provide friendly and efficient customer service.

● Prepare and serve high-quality espresso coffee, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

● Support preparation of a variety of breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea items.

● Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.

● Ensure the Café dining area is well presented and maintained – cleared and cleaned at regular intervals.

● Cleaning of kitchen and food service equipment (cutlery, crockery, glassware etc)

● Support with Gallery Assistant duties as required.

● Any other duties that may be reasonably determined from time to time by the Café Manager and/or CEO.

Selection Criteria:

● Minimum 1 year working with specialty coffee

● Availability over weekends, holidays and events

● Current Victorian RSA

● Excellent customer service and communication skills

● Reliability and punctuality

● Commitment to maintaining a safe, hygienic and compliant kitchen environment

● Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (e.g., cases of beverages)

● Current Australian Driver’s licence
