I am offering a 3 month temp assignment beginning ASAP for an experienced Housing Service Assistant.
You will be responsible for providing support to a team of Housing Coordinators delivering a client centered, high quality and responsive tenancy management service across a portfolio of social and affordable houses.
Starting: ASAP
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Hours: 9AM - 5PM (flexibility to accommodate an earlier finish - if needed)
Key Details:
- Manage tenancies in line with the Residential Tenancy Act (RTA) and company policies.
- Establish new tenancies, including property viewings, lease agreements, bond lodgment, and tenant sign-ups.
- Conduct routine property inspections and manage condition reports (PCR).
- Monitor and complete lease renewals as required.
- Assist with tenancy breaches as per the RTA and company policies.
- Undertake joint tenancy visits with support staff to meet safety and tenancy objectives.
- Complete tenancy support referrals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records in Chintaro, updated daily.
- Ensure compliance with tenancy management policies and procedures.
- Provide leave coverage for Housing Coordinators as needed.
- Promote community activities and engagement with tenants.
- Liaise with Property Services on maintenance and tenant liability issues.
- Attend team and departmental meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act through previous management experience or associated roles.
- Experience working with clients with varied support needs
- Experience of using databases, management systems or proficiency in online systems with the ability to apply this knowledge
- Experience working in the community services industry and/or not-for-profit sector with an understanding of the role of community housing
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work.
- Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders of all backgrounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
