We're looking for a skilled and driven professional to step into the key leadership role of Senior Case Management Officer at Hunter Correctional Centre. You will coordinate and supervise a dynamic Case Management Unit, supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals in custody.

Your role

As a Senior Case Management Officer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of case planning and offender management services, while leading a team of Case Management Officers through mentorship, performance monitoring, and strategic coordination.

What you'll do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the daily operations of a Case Management Unit within the correctional centre
  • Supervise and support Case Management Officers, allocating workloads and reviewing performance.
  • Manage a caseload of complex individuals as needed, and chair multidisciplinary case conferences
  • Coordinate with programs, parole units, and external services to optimise inmate rehabilitation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and case management practices

What we're looking for

  • Proven ability to lead and develop frontline staff in a correctional or community services setting.
  • Strong background in case management and working with complex client needs
  • Skilled in risk/needs assessment, case planning, and offender rehabilitation pathways
  • Able to manage competing demands in a high-pressure environment.
  • Collaborative leadership style with high-level communication and coordination skills

Essential Requirements

  • Current and valid NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel
  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks including Criminal History and fingerprints check.
