Position Status: Temporary Full Time (until 30 June 2027)

Position Remuneration: Level 7.1 ($108,063 Base annual salary) / ($122,659 Total remuneration package which is based on a permanent full-time employee and inclusive of 12% employer superannuation and 17.5% leave loading).

About You
You are a strategic environmental leader with deep knowledge of Noosa’s unique ecosystems and the challenges they face. With expert insight into government policies and conservation strategies, you have successfully delivered complex environmental projects that balance planning, consultation, and negotiation. You are a seasoned project manager, politically savvy, and thrive in dynamic environments where strong relationships and collaboration drive results.
Known for your innovative problem-solving, sharp analytical skills, and ability to influence change, you lead high-performing teams with purpose, shaping culture, building partnerships, and achieving impactful, long-term outcomes for both nature and community.
The position's focus will be:
Lead the charge in protecting and revitalising Noosa’s iconic river and coastal environments. You will drive the implementation of the Noosa River Catchment Action Plan, building strong partnerships with local businesses, community groups, government bodies and Traditional Owners.
With a balance of leadership, strategy and on-ground action, you will manage impactful environmental projects, provide expert advice to key stakeholders, and guide a dedicated team of staff, students and volunteers. From influencing policy and negotiating partnerships to solving complex environmental challenges, this is your chance to shape real outcomes for Noosa’s natural assets and future generations.
