Senior Secondary English Teacher – Distance Education (Full-Time)

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our Distance Education team in a full-time capacity. While our DE team operates from Atherton, we’re open to remote work arrangements from anywhere in QLD, for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to secondary students aligned with the Queensland curriculum

Use creative and effective strategies to teach students in a distance education context

Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work and assessments

Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that reflects Christian values

Collaborate with staff and families to support student learning, growth and wellbeing

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent

Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)

Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level (distance education experience desirable but not essential)

Strong knowledge of the Queensland curriculum and assessment standards

Demonstrated ability to use technology for online teaching and communication

Commitment to Christian education and a Christ-centred approach to student development

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
