Applications are invited from dynamic and experienced educators for the position of Full-Time Distance Education Teacher (Primary), based at Pinnacle Academic College’s Kallangur campus. This role includes both distance education delivery and occasional face-to-face teaching.

About the Role

This full-time position involves the delivery of high-quality primary education to a multi-age cohort, with teaching responsibilities spanning both Distance Education and periodic face-to-face learning environments.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned learning units (Version 9 Australian Curriculum)

Facilitating live, online group lessons and providing tailored learning support materials

Using a variety of evidence-based instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs

Building strong, positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing regular feedback

Participating in school-wide planning, professional learning, and events

Engaging with the school's collaborative culture to continually improve teaching practices

An interest or demonstrated ability to teach Health and Physical Education (HPE) and Technologies is highly desirable

This is a full-time contract position until 31 December 2025, with the potential for ongoing opportunities in the following year based on school needs and performance.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

A recognised Bachelor of Education (Primary) or equivalent

Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)

Proven ability to plan and implement engaging online and in-person lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum

Proficiency in educational technologies and digital learning platforms

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

A flexible and reflective approach to teaching in a multi-age, dual-mode learning environment

A commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaborative practice
