About the Child Protection and Forensic Medical Service team
Child Protection Forensic Medical Service (CPFMS) provides a multi-disciplinary tertiary referral hospital service for the consultation and management of suspected child abuse and neglect, as part of a state-wide clinical leadership role in education, training and research and is based at Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH) and has services at Redlands Hospital and Inala Community Centre.
Children's Health Queensland has been funded to set up and provide the Statewide Child Sexual Abuse Response. The service will align with the newly developed Sexual Abuse Services Framework (the Framework), for children under 14 years.
