What you'll be doing
This Level 3 Social Work role within the Granville Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team delivers complex, recovery-focused mental health care across hospital and community settings. The position also provides leadership, supervision, and service development. Other responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-level social work interventions across Granville ACT and Cumberland
• Leading and supervise social workers and students in clinical practice
• Providing consultative support on complex consumer and family matters
• Collaborating with services and agencies to ensure continuity of care
• Driving service improvement through quality activities and staff development

Essential Requirements:

• Qualification: Degree in Social Work
• Registration: Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

Selection Criteria:

1. Clinical experience in a mental health setting or significant experience as a social worker with an ability to demonstrate transfer of skills.
2. Experience in or evidence of further study or a commitment to study in clinical/student supervision, team leadership and/or management.
3. Experience in staff and/or student supervision.
4. Demonstrated well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills.
5. Excellent negotiation, decision making and consultation skills with other staff.
6. Ability to work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team with minimal direct supervision.
7. Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with government agencies such as Housing, Centrelink, FACS, etc. and non-government agencies, such as, NGOs, GPs and other community organisations.
8. Current NSW Drivers Licence (P2 acceptable) and willing to use it for work purpose.
