About the role

As a Service Technician - Forklift Repair at Active Forklift Repairs', you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers' forklifts remain in excellent working condition. This full-time position is based in Campberfield Vic where you will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance, repair and servicing of forklifts as well as preparing equipment for Hire, You will be doing something different each day you will be required to manage conflicting priorities this role is largely autonomous, and you must be able to operate unsupervised ,Our certified experts provide fast and accurate repairs using cutting-edge technology

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose and repair various forklift models and components, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and engines
• Prepare forklifts for hire/ Sale
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate
• Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on forklift care and operation
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications in automotive or mechanical engineering, with a focus on forklift maintenance and repair
• Proven experience as a forklift service technician, preferably in a field-based role
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve a wide range of forklift issues
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly
• A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
• A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
