We are looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner who ideally has met the capabilities framework at a proficient level or above, to work in a supportive and flexible working arrangement, in Rockhampton, Yeppoon and surrounding areas.

Opportunity for those who are also registered allied health professionals, such as Psychologists, Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapists to work in a dual role. Opportunity to work solely in allied health field will also be considered.

About the Role
We are looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to contract with us. In this role, you will deliver behaviour support services in line with NDIS guidelines, working collaboratively with participants, families, and support teams to improve the participants quality of life and reduce behaviours of risk.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBAs) in line with NDIS standards.
Develop and implement evidence-based Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) thorough collaboration with the participants, families, carers, allied health professionals, and support staff.
Provide training and capacity building to teams implementing behaviour support strategies.
Provide regular feedback to stakeholders about progress of the BSP
Ensure documentation aligns with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
Support the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices in line with Positive Behaviour Support principles.
Maintain accurate case notes and progress reports for NDIS reporting and compliance.
About You
Registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner under the NDIS Commission – Proficient or above (preferably)
Strong understanding of Person-Centred Positive Behaviour Support and Trauma-Informed Care.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
Current Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Ability to work within TOC Psychology and Behaviour Support clinic locations (Yeppoon and Rockhampton) and travel within the Capricorn Coast region
Public and Professional Indemnity Insurance as a NDIS PBS practitioner
Desire to work with children, adolescents, adults and their families/support networks
Passion to provide client-centred services
