The Strategic Design and Enablement team are in search for an enthusiastic and talented Student Landscape Architect currently studying undergraduate or post graduate degree in landscape architecture, urban design or closely related discipline to join our team. In this exciting new role you will assist the landscape architects manage various scale landscape projects including, master planning, playspace and youth space projects, streetscape and public domain, strategy’s and manuals. You will be part of a team of landscape architects that are supportive and collaborative and share the same passion for creating high quality places that benefit people and the environment as you.

About the role:
The City of Campbelltown has a unique landscape that is rich in natural beauty. As a member of the Open Space team, you will work to conserve this unique landscape character while creating open space and recreational opportunities that promote wellbeing and build community connectedness and identity. Through considered design and planning for the City and its surrounds, The Open Space team will collaborate to create a legacy for the future.
To be successful in this role you will have at least completed 1 year of bachelor's study in landscape architecture, urban design or closely related discipline. you will have an appetite of gaining experience in landscape architecture led design projects, project management, community engagement and will have an opportunity to test your technical skills. You will have experience in AutoCAD and Adobe creative suite software, and a keen eye for detail and a passion for working with the community to deliver great outcomes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
Minimum 1 year Undergraduate study in Landscape Architecture or equivalent technical background.
Demonstrated technical skills in the use of design software including AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated ability to produce creative and innovative design options, including concept and construction drawings and specifications, covering public domain areas, streetscapes and open space projects.
Well-developed interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work in a team environment and experience in working collaboratively.

The applicant will ideally hold a Current Class C driver's licence and have knowledge of open space systems including active and passive recreation needs, natural systems and green and blue grid links.
