About the role
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to drive quality improvement and governance across a department that delivers services across key life stages. In this strategic role, you'll develop and support high-quality business systems and continuous improvement practices to ensure compliance with legislative and contractual obligations. You will work closely with the leadership team and staff across the department to enhance service outcomes, implement governance frameworks, and foster a strong quality culture that delivers meaningful results for the community.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a confident and capable professional with a strong background in quality systems and service governance. You will have:
- Extensive experience in developing, implementing and monitoring quality and governance systems
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and facilitate change in a complex environment
- A strong understanding of community care or human services, with knowledge of relevant legislation and sector standards
- Demonstrated capacity to manage service planning, performance monitoring and compliance
- High-level project management and evaluation skills
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis and reporting
- The ability to lead and support staff and teams through improvement and transformation initiatives
Your profile
You are a motivated leader and collaborative professional with:
- Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in a relevant field
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-level reports and documentation
- Demonstrated analytical and conceptual thinking, with a solution-focused mindset
- Proven ability to manage risk and support governance practices
- A commitment to person-centred care and improving outcomes for service users
- The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and represent the department with professionalism and confidence
