About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at the Cairns West Medical Centre. This is a part-time position based in Manunda, QLD 4870, providing the opportunity to work in a vibrant and diverse medical practice. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the wider healthcare team.

What you'll be doing

Providing direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with treatments and chronic care management

Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless service delivery

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all relevant medical and legal standards

Participating in the implementation of clinical policies and procedures to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes

Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of nursing practices within the practice

What we're looking for

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Minimum of 1 year experience in a general medical or nursing role, preferably in a primary care or community-based setting

Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices, including medication administration, wound care, and patient education

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the continuous improvement of nursing practices
