Part Time: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 8am -5pm with No weekend or public holiday work required.

Highgate Hill Doctors has a great team environment and as our nurse you will be conducting Care Plans, Vaccinations of adults & children, ECG's, Spiro, Wound Care, Sterilization of instruments, assisting with procedures, including Mirena Insertion, Iron Infusions & Skin Excisions.

You will also be part of the patient care cycle engaging recalls and reminders, ensuring that stock is maintained and providing guidance and support to patients in the healthcare system.

We use Best Practice and HotDoc Software.

We are an accredited practice and engage in Quality Improvement Projects for the benefit of patients.

The successful applicant will possess highly developed interpersonal skills (verbal and written), an excellent knowledge of requirements for a medical practice as well as the demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of clinical practice, and patient care in addition to the ability to work autonomously within a supportive team environment. Our nurses are an integral part of our dedicated team.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

Essential:

Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse

Understanding of Accreditation and commitment to continuous quality improvement

Excellence in all areas of Childhood & Adult Vaccines, AIR

Experience in CDM including CVC, Health Assessments & Care Plans

ECG, spirometry, audiometry, ear syringing, BSL

Sterilization & infection control

Ordering supplies including vaccines and medical stock

Management of recall and reminder systems including vaccinations

Maintaining cold chain management systems

Triage

Desirable:

Previous Accreditation

Knowledge of Best Practice

Knowledge of MBS item billing codes

Nurse Immuniser

Experience in Staff & GP Registrar education
