About the role:
We are currently seeking Part-Time Relief Security officers to provide break relief duties at Homes Victoria sites located in Richmond, Fitzroy and Collingwood.
These positions operate on a 4-week rotating roster, including both day and night shifts, and are ideal for security professionals seeking consistent part-time hours across well-established community sites.
Positions Available:
- Richmond & Fitzroy: 52.5 hours per fortnight
- Collingwood: 45.5 hours per fortnight
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Provide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and write reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly.
Skills & experience
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Victorian Security License
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Employee Working with children check (or willing to apply for one)
- Valid Security Licence and First Aid and CPR.
- Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently and prior experience working in a challenging environment.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.
- Excellent observational and surveillance skills.
- Ability to operate security equipment and systems.
- Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
