About the Role
The health service is expanding its cardiac services and seeking a passionate and skilled Electrophysiologist to join its high-performing, collaborative team.
As Staff Specialist - Electrophysiology, you will:
- Deliver expert inpatient and outpatient care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias and general cardiology conditions
- Perform complex electrophysiology procedures including AF ablations (RF and cryo), VT ablations, pacemaker and AICD implantations, biventricular and leadless devices
- Participate in cardiac outreach and telehealth services across North and North West Queensland
- Contribute to clinical training, research, and innovation
- Provide leadership and mentorship within a teaching hospital affiliated with James Cook University
- Join a well-resourced EP lab supported by 3D mapping systems and an experienced scientific team
About You
- You're a collaborative, forward-thinking leader with:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent
- Subspecialty training in Electrophysiology and Pacing, consistent with CSANZ guidelines
- Current registration (or eligibility) as a Specialist Cardiologist with AHPRA
- Experience in general cardiology and interest in outreach service delivery
- Commitment to teaching, quality improvement, and evidence-based care
