About the Role

The health service is expanding its cardiac services and seeking a passionate and skilled Electrophysiologist to join its high-performing, collaborative team.

As Staff Specialist - Electrophysiology, you will:

• Deliver expert inpatient and outpatient care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias and general cardiology conditions
• Perform complex electrophysiology procedures including AF ablations (RF and cryo), VT ablations, pacemaker and AICD implantations, biventricular and leadless devices
• Participate in cardiac outreach and telehealth services across North and North West Queensland
• Contribute to clinical training, research, and innovation
• Provide leadership and mentorship within a teaching hospital affiliated with James Cook University
• Join a well-resourced EP lab supported by 3D mapping systems and an experienced scientific team

About You

• You're a collaborative, forward-thinking leader with:
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent
• Subspecialty training in Electrophysiology and Pacing, consistent with CSANZ guidelines
• Current registration (or eligibility) as a Specialist Cardiologist with AHPRA
• Experience in general cardiology and interest in outreach service delivery
• Commitment to teaching, quality improvement, and evidence-based care
