About the Role
Due to ongoing national growth, the finance team is expanding. This newly created Senior Financial Accountant role sits at the heart of finance and reports directly to the CFO. You'll play a critical role in financial operations, compliance, and commercial insights that support strategic decisions.

This is ideal for a CA qualified audit 1st mover or a 2nd mover with 2 years of construction experience.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review statutory financial statements in line with AASB/IFRS standards

Manage coordination with external auditors and support year-end processes

Lead the preparation and lodgement of BAS, PAYG, FBT, and income tax returns

Oversee monthly and annual financial close processes and general ledger integrity

Assist the AP officer and the junior accountant and oversee their work

Manage SOPA retention trust reporting and subcontractor compliance requirements

Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset management

Drive process improvement initiatives within the finance function

Support business operations with technical accounting advice and financial insights

About You

CA/CPA qualified with 3+ years of audit experience

5+ years’ experience in accounting, ideally with exposure to construction or project-based environments

Strong working knowledge of AASB/IFRS

Skilled in financial systems and Excel

Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in identifying improvements
