MARS Recruitment is partnering with a leading Financial Services firm to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. Our client has established a strong reputation both in Sydney and internationally and is recognised as a market leader in the Financial Services sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience working at a Big 4 firm with exposure to investments and superannuation funds, or bring similar industry experience from a large fund manager.

The responsibilities:

• Review reports prepared, ensuring data accuracy and reconciliation with the investment system, registry, auditors, clients, and other external sources.
• Prepare and review client deliverables across daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting cycles.
• Support the Fund teams in meeting client reporting requirements and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Manage the financial statement preparation process for both year-end and half-year reporting.
• Ensure compliance with operational risk frameworks and relevant legislative requirements.
• Respond to general ledger queries from both internal stakeholders and external clients.

The requirements:

• 5-7 years of commercial experience in financial services accounting or financial reporting.
• CA, CPA, or ACCA qualified.
• Strong knowledge and experience in fund accounting and custody operations.
• Proven track record in managing client relationships, audit processes, and year-end reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

To Note:

• The hybrid working model is 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
