We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant looking to make an impact with a national organisation in a pivotal role as the business goes through significant change due to recent investment enabling further growth. This role will focus on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial accounting tasks. The role is based in Homebush with onsite parking provided. This is contract with an immediate start to support year end and audit as well as range of responsibilities including:

• Take charge of monthly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, and timeliness.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations for the group.
• Deliver Balance Sheet and Cashflow commentaries.
• Lead audit engagements, from planning and fieldwork to reporting and follow-up, ensuring adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
• Perform detailed analysis of key balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets, inventory, receivables, and payables, to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
• Support transactional processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Work alongside the Financial Controller to collaborate, design, implement, and review finance systems and procedures for continuous improvement and adoption of best practices.

We are looking for a team player who is looking to join a collegiate culture. You will have a strong background in finance ideally possessing the following experience and qualifications:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree and completed CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience working in wholesale, retail, manufacturing or in an organisation with a similar complex supply chain.
• Expertise in accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Ability to problem solve and effectively make decisions.
