About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dairy hand / casual milker to join our team at Reston Enterprises Pty Ltd in Forest, Tasmania. As a casual employee, this role will involve milking cows and assisting with general farm duties on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in the day-to-day operations of our dairy farm.

What you'll be doing

Milking cows using proper techniques to ensure safety, animal welfare and maximum productivity

Cleaning and maintaining the dairy and related equipment

Assisting with other farm tasks as required, such as feeding livestock, maintaining fences, and operating farm machinery

Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the farm

Reporting any issues or concerns to the farm manager in a timely manner

What we're looking for

Previous experience working on a dairy farm or in a similar agricultural role

Strong practical skills and the ability to operate farm equipment safely and efficiently

Good attention to detail and a commitment to animal welfare

Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks

Flexible and available to work on a casual basis, including early mornings and weekends as required
