About the role
As a Senior Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the efficient organisation and management of the designated pharmacy area, ensuring optimal service delivery and the safe, effective use of pharmaceuticals. You will provide high-level pharmacy services with professional autonomy, exercising sound clinical judgement while supporting patients and the broader clinical team with timely medicines information and therapeutic advice.
Your expertise will be instrumental in driving quality use of medicines, implementing strategies that optimise patient outcomes in line with hospital policy and best practice standards. You will work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health professionals to ensure safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care across the hospital setting.
About You
You will be a dedicated and experienced pharmacy professional, committed to delivering high-quality clinical services within a complex hospital setting. You will bring strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on safe and effective medicine use and continuous service improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Pharmacy and current registration or eligibility for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
Demonstrated high-level communication and organisational skills, with proven experience meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities.
Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, including leadership, team supervision, and implementing service improvements.
In-depth knowledge of pharmacy standards and codes of practice, with the ability to provide professional training and contribute to multidisciplinary healthcare delivery.
