Do you enjoy working outdoors and operating specialist plant and equipment? We're seeking two (2) reliable and safety-conscious Patching Plant & Truck Operators to join our Civil Operations team in delivering vital road maintenance services to our community.
- Two (2) permanent positions available.
- Remuneration package of $2,391.68 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,870.02 gross per fortnight + superannuation (11.5%).

Your new role:
In this hands-on role, you'll operate patching plant equipment and heavy vehicles to carry out road repairs, resurfacing, and maintenance activities across the region. You'll also be responsible for the safe operation and basic maintenance of machinery, while ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in line with council procedures.
Duties of this position will include but are not limited to:
- Operate and maintain Council plant and equipment with an emphasis on MR truck operation and specialist patching equipment.
- Implement traffic control plans as required.
- Coordinate worksite activities including site supervision and the coordination of staff.
- Undertake general labouring duties and road maintenance activities such as road reinstatement, sealing, shoulder and pothole repairs.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, following proper protocols and utilising appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
What you will need to succeed:
- Previous experience operating and maintaining specialist plant and equipment as well as MR truck operation.
- A General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card)
- A Class MR Driver's Licence
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Controller Training Card and SafeWork NSW Implement Traffic Control Plans Training Card.
- Applicants must enjoy working outdoors and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
