The Role
The Maritime Auxiliary Systems Program Office (MASPO) Sustainment Manager is responsible for planning, leading and managing the delivery of maintenance, operational support and logistics services through a team in support of the RAN’s Maritime Auxiliary capability managed through Product Schedules CN58 - Inshore and CN59 - Offshore and their associated in-service support arrangements. The Sustainment Manager additionally manages key stakeholder relationships, both internal and external to the organisation, and will be required to identify relevant stakeholders’ expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the MASPO sustainment team. Oversee the team’s delivery of the sustainment effect to the SPO and provide personnel management, performance reporting and personnel administration for the sustainment team as the head of department.
- Oversee supply chain management BAU activities including procurement, disposal, Required Parts List (RPL) management.
- Oversee the delivery of operational service activities and manage the development of operational support processes including gap analysis and remediation.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of maintenance periods and support the ship managers in their activities.
- Support the MASPO commercial team in the tracking and management of contract deliverables.
- Manage the handover of responsibility for maintenance planning from the MASPO engineering team to the MASPO sustainment team.
- Support the planning and management of risks within the SPO in conjunction with the SPO risk manager.
