Lilydale Automotive Group is an exciting, small team dealership located in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne and a part of the Freeway Motor Group. We have recently brought in GWM Haval in to our stable with Hyundai and LDV and have work aplenty!

We are now seeking a talented, experienced Mechanics to join our service team in a number of low and senior workshop roles.

Work permanent full time Monday to Friday, design a 4 day week OR permanent part time - you choose, the options are endless and we're here to work with you!

Job Duties:

• Diagnosing and identifying mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components.
• Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Performing routine maintenance, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to enhance vehicle performance and ensure compliance with emission standards.
• Inspect vehicles to issue roadworthiness certificates or outline necessary repairs for compliance.
• Disassemble and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts, then inspect each component.
• Repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts, reassembling mechanical components, and consulting service manuals as necessary.
• Reassembling engines and components after repairs.
• Using computers to assist in diagnosing and testing components.
• Quick respond to vehicle breakdown calls for on-site service

Skill required & well versed with:

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and computerized testing devices.
• Knowledge of working with fluid-powered brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
• Understanding how engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other vehicle components work.
• Ability to accurately identify mechanical or electrical issues
• Should know safety regulations and practices.
• Current VIC Drivers License (M/T)
• Certificate IV in Automotive or Higher
• 2 years or more experience required in an automotive workshop as a mechanic/technician.
