About The Role:

While fulfilling this role you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of our trucks. As a crucial part of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the Safe and Efficient delivery of various industrial goods including but not limited to: Steel Products, Rolling Stock, Building Materials, Oversize Goods and other Industrial Items.

You may also be required to operate MR and HR vehicles - with no changes to your hourly HC Driver Rate.

To be successful in this role, you will be required to Safely operate our vehicles and equipment, while following all in-house polices, guides and client specific rules.

Who were looking for - To be a successful applicant you must have the following:

Fluent in both written and spoken English.

2+ years of HC driving experience.

Current HC (Ability To Operate Trucks Fitted With Road Ranger Gearboxes - Preferred ) License.

White Card (Construction Induction).

Excellent Driving Skills, Knowledge of Road Law and Load Restraint Methods.

Be able to plan safe and efficient travel routes.

Strong Communication Skills, Demonstrating a Positive Attitude to Customer Service and Relations.

Willingness to learn and adapt.

What you'll be doing:

Safely operating our trucks while; transporting and supervising the loading and unloading of goods.

Driving our MR, HR and HC Vehicles around the state, as well as interstate journeys.

Perform pre-operation inspections, basic maintenance and cleaning of vehicles.

Complying with all company /client polices and relevant safety and legal legislations.

Communicating effectively with GNK management and customers to ensure timely and safe delivery.

Maintain accurate records via the use of logbooks, run sheets and work dockets.

Assist with other duties as required.

Bonus Attributes - Applicants with these will be boosted in the que:

Experience with building material transport such as Steel and Steel Pipes (preferred).

Current MSIC License (preferred).

Current DG (Dangerous Goods) License (preferred).

Experience operating vehicle loading cranes (preferred).

Ability and license to safely operate a forklift (preferred).
