Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position working in southern Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design, development, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment compliant to AS 3533

Conduct diagnostic tests and fault-finding on electrical systems

Prepare and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications

Provide technical support to engineers

Monitor compliance with safety standards and procedures

Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

Education: Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field
OR At least three (3) years of full-time relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications

Experience:

Ability to perform work at heights, working at heights and tower rescue qualifications advantageous

Previous experience in the amusements ride industry

Strong technical and problem-solving skills

Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Experience writing maintenance reports

Lighting control and DMX programming

Video transmission systems repair and design

Sound mechanical and hydraulic knowledge an advantage
