Role Description

We offer a Welding Supervisor a full-time position with our friendly management team.

The Welding Supervisor will oversee all welding operations and provide technical guidance to our team of fabricators and welders. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel, conducting quality control, and ensuring that all welding work is completed as per specification, on schedule and within budget with assistance from project management.

Qualifications & Experience

5+ Years of Piping and Structural steel assembly and welding supervision

AS1796 Certificate 10 Welding Supervisor at minimum is preferred, although applicants with other suitable qualifications are encouraged to apply. IIW Qualifications welcome.

Experience with STT(GMAW-S)/FCAW, GTAW and MMAW/SMAW is desirable.

Familiar with current Australian and International Standards
Standards including:
AS3992 and AS4041, AS4037, AS4458, AS1554, AS2885, ASME IX and B31.3,

Intermediate computer skills i.e.
Microsoft Word, Excel, Project (not mandatory) & Outlook

CAD and Navisworks Model Review

Tasks & Responsibilities

Create Weld maps and fabrication schedule

WPS management and selection

Welder qualification testing

Weld traceability management

Welding consumable and material traceability management

Welding Supervision Recording

Welding inspection and dimensional checking

Drawing revision management

Create and submit NDT requests

Review NDT reports for compliance

Assisting with MDR compilation (Complete in whole if competent)

Assist with estimating and scheduling

Assist with HR management
