We’re excited to be recruiting experienced or up-and-coming Civil Supervisors for a well-established and trusted civil contractor. With a strong pipeline of residential and urban development projects across Ipswich, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, this is a great opportunity to step into a role with stability, local work, and room to grow. In this role, you’ll oversee the development of new residential subdivision projects in your designated region. You'll be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered to quality, safety, and environmental standards, and maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for a leadership role on well-resourced projects with a reputable contractor known for long-term pipelines and a supportive site culture.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning future requirements including machine tools, ancillary equipment, major plant and labour.
• Plan and monitor works to ensure compliance with relevant WHS, Environmental and Quality procedures and specifications.
• Work with Engineers to develop effective construction programs. Ability to develop a short-term section/ trade program, including resource allocation.
• Conducting effective team and subcontractor meetings (such as pre-starts, toolbox talks, zone, construction planning, etc). Maintains effective ‘white board’ or similar for upcoming works.
• Manage workforce, plant and subcontractors.
• Accurately record daily working times for labour resources (timesheets).

The successful applicant will have the following experience

• Experience delivering urban development projects
• Recognized skills in managing WHS and environmental legislation and requirements
• Good communication skills and ability to deliver meaningful and engaging pre-starts and toolbox talks
• Ability to identify correct plant for the task to be undertaken
• Able to interpret technical drawings / specifications for all trades, layout plans and schematic drawings
• Cert III, Cert IV, trade qualifications or advancements towards achievement
