About the Program

Newpin is a Therapeutic, Centre-based program providing reunification services to parents with children under the age of 6. With over a decade of successful delivery in New South Wales, Uniting Communities is excited to have secured funding to establish 3 Newpin Center's in Adelaide through a Social Impact Bond. We are currently seeking a Senior Coordinator for the Smithfield site.

About the Role

The Senior Coordinator is responsible for all elements of the day to day running of the Newpin Centre. This includes line management of a small, multi-disciplinary team and site management. A core component of the role is working with the Department of Child Protection to ensure appropriate and timely referrals are received, so that the program operates at capacity.

This role is responsible for:

Using a holistic, therapeutic approach to engage and support parents

Ensure team members complete all daily tasks within the Centre, within the Newpin Service Model.

Work collaboratively with DCP Case Workers to ensure the best care of children at all times.

Maintaining the Centre at all times in line with the Newpin program expectations

About You

You will have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

Working with families with small children, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

Working collaboratively with families who have experienced contact with the Child Protection system.

Delivering a strengths based, therapeutic program.

Ability to lead and help maintain a culture of motivated, high performing team members

Establishing and maintaining a relaxed and inclusive community setting.

Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent
