Your part in St Stephen’s Hospital team
As part of the Theatres team, you’ll complete a range of non-clinical support tasks, providing support to the Specialists and Clinical Staff in the set up of theatres for surgery, delivering an exceptional patient-centred experience by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team.
Some of your responsibilities will include -
Complete case set ups for Theatre
Supporting theatres Sterile Store room
Support theatre staff in the patient positioning
Preparing reusable medical equipment eg diathermy, for the theatre lists
Support imprest monitoring
Escalate any equipment shortfall to managers
Ensuring the store room is organised and free from hazards
Maintenance of patient positioning supports
What makes a difference for us?
12 months recent work experience within a health care environment
Certificate III in Health Services or 2nd year Registered Nurse Students
Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
Flexibility to work all shifts as required
